Bird Watching Tour of Goa

Day1: Arrive Goa
When you arrive at the airport you will be met by our representative who will arrange for your transfer to Backwoods Camp which is nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Here you will spend two nights birding in the forests and along the various streams across the Backwoods Camp, which is also classified by Birdlife International as the major ‘Endemic Bird Areas’ in Asia.

Day 2: Goa
Today you will spend the whole day at the Backwoods Camp in bird watching. Here there are 1220 species – over 12% of the world’s total have been recorded .You will get to see here birds like Malabar Trogon, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Heart-spotted Woodpecker, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Malabar Parakeet, Tickle’s Blue Flycatcher, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Forest Wagtail, Indian Pita . At night here at Backwoods Camp you can hear the calls of Oriental & Collared Scopes Owls, Brown Wood Owl, and Brown Fish Owl.

Day 3: Goa
Today you will be transferred to the hotel in Baga. Here you can spot an amazing number of birds like white-cheeked Barbet, Pipits and Richards, Blyth’s and Paddy field also there are Pied Bushchat, Common Sandpipers, Little Ringed Plovers, Asian Palm Swift, White-throated Kingfisher, Spotted Owlet, and Oriental Skylark around Baga in the fields and also from the balcony of the hotel.

Day 4: Goa
In the early morning we leave for Morjim beach, which is one of the quietest beaches in Goa. Here you can watch waders, gulls and terns. After lunch we visit Saligao which has two springs Salmona and Mollebhat ensconced in dense vegetation. Night is spent at the hotel at Baga.

Day 5: Goa
In the early morning we leave for Charao Island and Mayem Lake for tour of bird watching where you can find Pheasant tailed Jacana, Pygmy Goose, Comb Duck and common species like herons and egrets. Overnight you spend at the hotel in Baga.

Day 6: Goa
We spend the day in bird watching at Carambolim, a lake which attracts a number of beautiful, migratory birds for hundreds of years. The picturesque landscape and wetlands attracts the birds here and you can spot Little Grebe, ducks, jacuna, purple herons, great white egrets, Asian Open billed Stork here at the Carambolim Lake. Then you will go to Santa Cruz marshes here a number of shore birds can be spotted and also to Dona Paula plateau where you can find Yellow-wattled Lapwing and Ashy-crowned Finch-Lark. Night is spent at the hotel in Baga.

Day 7: Goa
In morning after breakfast check out from hotel & get driven to airport for board a flight to your home or where you want to wish go ahead with sweet memories.
