Day 02 / Delhi
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of New Delhi Covering the 11th century Qutub Minar , The word ‘Qutub’ itself,means ‘pole of justice.’ The Qutub Minar made of red sandstone rising to the height of 72.5mts is an architectural marvel of the 13th century. India Gate ,a majestic high arch, 42 meters high, built as a memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in the World War I. It is called the All India War Memorial. The President’s House, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial, Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 03 / Delhi – Jaipur (By train Dep 0610 Hrs Arr 1040 Hrs )
Early morning our representative pick you from hotel & transfer to railway station to board the airconditioned train to Jaipur. Breakfast in the train. Arrive Jaipur and check into the hotel. Later sight seeing tour of Jaipur covering:. The City Palace has projecting balconies, arches and the entrances. The palace covers one-seventh of the area in Jaipur&transfer to hotel. Later visit Hawa Mahal- Constructed in 1799.It is the most sensational monument in the city of Jaipur.Hawa mahal ( Palace of Winds) from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world.The palace has 953 niches and windows. This five-story, pyramid-shaped structure is made up of small casements, each with tiny windows and arched roofs, beautifully modeled and carved. and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments. Day 04 / Jaipur- Agra (By raod Approx. 5 Hrs.)
Morning visit the majestic Amber Fort- located in Amber 11 km from Jaipur, It is set on the dry wrinkled Aravali Hills, and surrounded by fortified battlements. Later drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur sikri. The deserted city Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of the Mughal Empire between 1570 and 1585.It was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar to honor the Muslim saint Shaikh Salim Chishti, who had foretold the birth of Akbar’s son and heir, Jahangir. Fatehpur Sikri stands untouched and perfectly preserved; a complete medieval fortress of red sandstone, with vast central squares, exquisitely carved multi-tiered pavilions, cool terraces and formal gardens.It ia s a masterpiece of Muslim architecture. It is a 25 miles (40km) west of Agra. Arrive Agra & transfer to hotel Evening at leisure. Overnight in Agra.
Day 05 / Agra-Varanasi ( By Train )
Morning at sunrise visit the Taj Mahal-It is a White marble memorial (seven wonders of the world )Built by Shah Jahan to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal.Little needs to be said about this architectural wonder which is always the soul raison-de-etre for every tourist’s visit to Agra., This monument took 22 years , 20,000 men laboured over to complete and designed it .It is planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from its stunning design balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen.,
Also visit Red fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, and additions were made up until time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It is the rusty and majestic red- sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna. At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience), a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back, the Emperor heard public petitions. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Later leave Agra & transfer to railway station to board the overnight train to Varanasi.
Day 06 / Varanasi
Arrive Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world, situated on the western bank of the holy river Ganga Varanasi, known to the devout as Kashi, is said to have been founded by Shiva, Lord of the Universe.It has a fascination uniquely its own, a quality of sublime beauty, a timeless eternal appeal. Varanasi is the city which cannot be described, only experienced. Meet assist at the railway station and check into the hotel. Later sight seeing of Varanasi (the holiest city of India) covering Temples, Aurangazeb’s Mosque and one of the biggest university of India. Evening view “Aarti” ceremony on the Ghats. Day 07/ Varanasi
Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later excursion to Sarnath, 10kms. East of Varanasi, is one of the Buddhism’s major centers of India. After attaining enlightenment, the Buddha came to Sarnath where he gave his first sermon. Visit the deer park and the museum and later back to Varanasi. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 08 / Varanasi – Delhi ( By Flight )
After a relaxed breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & check into the hotel. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 09 / Departure
Transfer to the airport to board flight back home with sweet memories.
